Anatomywise Scolio-Pilates® & Spine Center

Anatomywise Scoliosis and Spine Center uses special pilates techniques to strengthen your spine and improve core health. Our expert trainers work with you to develop a unique exercise plan to help with Scoliosis, back pain or other musculoskeletal disorders.

We offer private and group fitness sessions by appointment, and week-long Scolio-Pilates® camps for adults and children several times each year.

Our goal to help you to become functionally fit. We educate people of all fitness levels with spinal exercises you can do at our Mt. Holly facility or in your own home.

Movement Therapist & Pilates Instructor

When back and neck issues compelled Karen to give up a 25-year medical career, she knew she had to make a change. That’s when she discovered the benefits of Pilates.

She learned how retraining the body’s bad habits and poor posture can reduce back pain. In her recovery, she also found a new passion.

Realizing she could use this knowledge to make a difference in the lives of others, Karen pursued a three-year, 1600-hour training program to become an AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique.

Karen now partners with Scolio-Pilates™ founder Karena Thek hosting Scoliosis camps and workshops at Anatomywise. She is also available for private exercise sessions, training adults and children with Pilates and movement therapy.

Pilates and Spinal Therapy Techniques

Anatomywise combines several movement techniques into customized fusion sessions for each client based on individual needs. We teach these techniques to clients with Scoliosis or other back-related disorders to rehabilitate & strengthen muscles and learn to avoid future injuries or pain.

Scoliosis Exercise Camps for Adults & Children

The Scolio-Pilates® Kids Camps and Adult Camps were designed to help you gain physical and emotional control over your scoliosis curvature. Our camps consist of 5 days of intensive work where we will create an individualized exercise program for you or your child to continue at home.

At our camps, you will work one-on-one with Scolio-Pilates founder Karena Thek! Karena has traveled all over the world educating clients and professionals in the health and wellness industry for over 25 years.

At the conclusion of your Scolio-Pilates experience, you will understand your specific spinal curve type. You will also have a custom tailored exercise program with handouts to continue your path to healthy living with scoliosis at home.
